The FSA 400 Cordless Clearing Saw is STIHL's first battery-powered clearing saw, designed specifically for professionals in landscaping and grounds maintenance. This high-performance tool delivers power output comparable to the FS 411 C-EM petrol clearing saw, making it ideal for tackling tough grass, shredding plant growth, and felling small trees. Its battery-powered design ensures low noise emissions, making it suitable for use in noise-sensitive areas.

Weighing 7.1 kg without the battery, the FSA 400 is equipped with a bike handle that provides comfort and control during extended use. The folding clamp allows for quick adjustments to the bike handle, ensuring an ergonomic position tailored to the user’s preference. The powerful EC motor features speed adjustment on the control handle, allowing users to select from three different speed levels based on the task at hand. Automatic RPM adjustment enhances energy efficiency, with the RPM increasing to 6,900 when used with a BrushCut or PolyCut mowing head and reducing to 5,000 when using the AutoCut head.

The FSA 400 is designed with user comfort in mind, featuring STIHL's anti-vibration system that minimizes vibrations, protecting muscles and joints during operation. The air filter on the housing keeps the motor cool, improving the service life of the clearing saw and is easy to remove and clean.

Standard with the FSA 400 is the AutoCut 46-2 mowing head, but it is compatible with a variety of other STIHL mowing heads, including the TrimCut 42-2, DuroCut 40-4, and PolyCut 48-2. Additionally, users can fit the FSA 400 with metal cutting blades such as the GrassCut, BrushCut, ShredCut, and WoodCut blades, providing versatility for various cutting tasks.

The FSA 400 is IPX4 certified, allowing for use in all weather conditions. Its durable components, including a sturdy battery casing, stainless steel filter, and a large 28mm diameter aluminum shaft, make it an ideal choice for professionals.
